The Vidhance Video Stabilization product currently has support for using OpenGL to accelerate the rendering of stabilized video frames. Support for the newer Vulkan API has matured on Android devices and offers more control for the programmer. The goal of this thesis is to investigate the optimization possibilities when using Vulkan instead of OpenGL for video stabilization. This includes porting of the OpenGL solution to Vulkan and analyzing the performance differences in regards to processing time and power consumption.
